Caldera's Corner
Thanks
First off, thanks for the loyalty and the support, guys. Your involvement has motivated me to get more involved myself, and the result is a great fed that is better than any I’ve seen. So thanks.
We’ve had our share of whiners and quitters, but what fed doesn’t? But so far we’ve got a roster of about thirty, which is great for any fed. So far everyone has liked what they saw, with the exception of a select few. Their loss, I guess.
We’ve come from that PATHETIC original website (God, I hope everyone has forgotten about it.) to what you see now. We’ve come from a site with a picture of some guy next to a jeep to a fed with music and pictures and columns and features, etc. etc. etc. As a president, I’ve evolved from a humble card writer to the creative genius you know and love today.
Now, of course, we’re stuck at maybe number 308 on the FWLnet list, but that’s only because I don’t know the JavaScript to get it to pop-up every time the site loads. Yes, it’s true. The top feds just cheat. FWLnet is not terribly accurate. Despite this low ranking, I still get applications rather often. I don’t know how they find us, but something tells me it’s word of mouth. (The ZIP crew seems to be expanding rather quickly. . . hmm….Thanks Zipster) So thanks to everyone who’s helped recruit.
Now, I admit I have some flaws. I tend to be a bit shortsighted when it comes to booking and picking winners. . . I’ve pissed off some good talent as a result. (Shane Lane) Thirteen got pissed for other reasons, and though he was good, his ego got the better of him. I still feel justified in most of my decisions, but I do owe a few apologies to a few people, Shane Lane being one of them. Mike Hardy another. And a few more. Just try to look past my few shortcomings, and focus on the fact that I write great cards, I have a great site, and I’m dead sexy.
This is where Mr. Danger comes in. Yes, he did run Steven Caldera’s first fed. Yes, he did give me the world title. And yes, he is almost as sexy as me. But he’s served as not only some much needed help in running things, and a great second-in-command, but also a helpful voice in making some big decisions. He’s the Paul Heyman to my Vince McMahon. Thanks, Danger.
Yes, GCW is destined for great things. GCW will be the biggest fed on earth one day, as soon as I figure out what sets us apart from the big feds. I don’t know what they have to offer that we don’t, aside from maybe a miserable experience. But for now, GCW is a fun place to be, and I’m enjoying myself. So thanks to everyone who’s stuck it out, through what was in the beginning a pathetic excuse for a fed, and now a great place to be.
Oh, and just so everyone knows, the rather egotistical comments, and that thing about Danger being sexy, were all sarcasm. I don’t actually believe it. (*tear* I’m not sexy. . .)
