Caldera's Corner

This week I would like to address some of the recent problems. I feel I should explain my policy on paying dues and such, just so I can (hopefully) put everyone's minds to rest about the whole situation.

First of all, paying dues in e-wrestling is definitely a good thing. Now, it is different here than in the real thing, in that real wrestlers should pay dues to expose them to the real world of wrestling. In e-wrestling, wrestlers need to pay dues so that a President can be sure of what type of person they are before they have major titles given to them. I think we all agree on this.

In the case of Shane Lane, he lost many matches before he got a good break. Yes, he complained. And yes, everyone jumped on him for it. But what you failed to consider is that I had taken care of it behind the scenes. I talked to Shane, just not on the boards. The OOC board is not a place to put one's complaints. It is simply used for people to chat amongst themselves. Complaints should be sent to me. When I saw all the commotion Shane had caused, I e-mailed him, rather than confronting him on the boards. Shane apologized, and said that he had gotten his frutration out, and was ready for anything. This apology was good enough for me. So please, don't jump to conlcusions and assume that what happens on the boards is all that happens.

Shane, yes, also has made some rather smart-assed remarks. But hey, so has the Jhub. And the Jhub is going to get what he has coming to him as a result. Some of you have deliberately provoked the situation, hoping that I would just kick out the new guy. Well, I'm not going to take sides here. I feel my decision to give Shane the belt based on his ability was justified. Anyone who thinks they are good enough to take the belt off of him may get a shot here soon. But don't think that just because Shane may have an ego in life means he'll have to lose his title.

Look, I want to put this behind us. My policy- If someone pisses you off, e-mail me. Don't confront them on the boards. I don't want to come off seeming like a prick here for all my lectures. I've never had to put my foot down before. Now I've had to, and I'm afraid it's taken away from GCW. The moral of the story: Just have fun, and don't take people so seriously. I'm not going to excuse anyone's actions, nor will I condemn them; I want to forget them. Just read the storylines. They'll be fun.

GCW is a great fed, with great people. No need for this arguing. Just have fun! :-)
