MELTDOWN RESULTS

The show opens, and the crowd goes wild. Heatwave is almost upon us, and things are getting hot. Oblivion saw the Jhub assault the commissioner, but Tristain Mayhem stuck himself right in the middle of it all by taking the Jhub down.

We begin with the action as Dan Rivero and Iron Mike Lindsay head to the ring. Lindsay opens up with some quick offense, but Rivero counters with some head on moves. Lindsay sets Rivero up for a cross body from the top, but Rivero counters it with a dropkick on the way down. Rivero climbs to the top and hits the Rivero elbow for the three count. Afterwards, the Heckler hits the ring and pummels Rivero. Heckler and Rivero shoot for Zippy's TV title at Heatwave.

JNightmare, a newcomer, faces off with Eric Allen. Allen begins with some lightening quick moves, hitting a spinning heel kick from the top for a two count. However, Nightmare comes back with some brutal offense of his own. Allen regains the advantage, but System-X walks down the ramp. Allen stops to yell at them, and Nightmare rolls Allen up for a three count and the upset in his debut!

Katanya and Emma face off in a match to see who gets a shot at Gidget. It is a close match, with both ladies displaying some fine moves. But Katanya hits a super hurricanrana from the top for the three count. Emma seems frustrated, but Katanya wins cleanly.

LeStatt Knight and Tristain Mayhem team up against the Sick Freaks, despite their match against each other at Heatwave. Knight starts things off against X-Caliber. Knight takes control, but refuses to tag Mayhem. The Sick Freaks take over, and punish Knight. Knight finally gets a break, and relents and tags Mayhem. Mayhem cleans house, but Dimensioner takes over on him again. The Freaks dominate Mayhem, until he gets a break to tag Knight. But Knight refuses to tag again, leaving Mayhem to be beaten down. Mayhem takes some more punishment, but finally leaps to tag in Knight, despite his complaints. Knight steps into the ring, arguing with Mayhem. Dimensioner turns him around and hits a big powerbomb on Knight for the three.

We then head to ringside to see who will face Rollins at Heatwave. The World Champion comes to do commentary, as Reed and Hanson face off in the ring. The match is very give and take, with both men playing it clean from the start. Rollins criticizes their sportsmanship. Finally, Hanson sets Reed up for his big underhook powerbomb. But Reed counters it, turns Hanson over, and hits the cradle tombstone for the three! The crowd goes crazy, but Rollins hits the ring. Rollins clobbers both System members with a chair, leaving them lying just a few days before he defends his title against Reed. . .
