OBLIVION RESULTS

The show kicks off with a bang, and the crowd is pumped. We're just six days away from Heatwave, and despite some last minute changes it seems to be shaping up well. We start off by heading backstage, where Kevin Jacobs stands with the US Champion, Tristain Mayhem. Mayhem says that he has a win-win situation tonight, and either way his name will be legendary after he fights Octavian. We then head to ringside for our opening match.

Gidget appears, followed by the Women's champion Icebabe. The match starts off with some knife-edge chops from the champ, but Gidget manages to catch her off guard with a flying headscissors. Icebabe regroups and comes back with some right hands and a scoop slam. Icebabe heads to the top rope, but Gidget throws herself into the ropes, sending Icebabe to the turnbuckle. Gidget then climbs to the top, and brings Icebabe down with a super hurricanrana! Gidget covers for the one. . . two. . . but Icebabe kicks out. Gidget sends Icebabe into the ropes, but Icebabe sees her telegraphing a back drop, and delivers a massive powerbomb! Icebabe covers for a one. . . two. . . kickout before three! Icebabe gets frustrated, and positions Gidget up top for a superplex! But Gidget holds on, and tosses Icebabe off to the mat! Gidget then turns around, and hits a massive moonsault for a one. . . two. . . three count! Gidget wins the match, and is the new Women's champion!

After a commercial, we go backstage where Gidget is celebrating with Zippy. The two champions pop open a few orange sodas to spray around the room. Zippy then heads out for his title defense. Heckler heads to the ring, followed by the TV champion. The match begins, and the powerful Heckler dominates Zippy with some right hands. Heckler sends Zippy into the ropes, and catches him with a powerslam for a two count! Zippy is reeling, as Heckler moves him back into the corner. Heckler relentlessly wails away at Zippy with forearms and boots to the midsection. Heckler stops to pose, allowing Zippy to leap to the top rope and take Heckler down with a cross body! Zippy takes control with a knife edge chop and kicks to the knees. Zippy sends Heckler into the ropes, and catches him with an amazing hurricanrana! This gets a two count. Zippy then scoop slams Heckler, and heads to the top rope for the ZIP Flip! But Dan Rivero makes his presence felt, and runs to the ring! Zippy stops in confusion as to why Rivero is there. Heckler takes this opportunity to recover, and climb behind Zippy! Heckler turns Zippy around, and delivers a massive powerbomb from the top rope! Heckler covers for the one. . . two. . . Rivero pulls the referee out! Rivero decks the referee, causing the match to be thrown out. Rivero then steps into the ring, and Heckler gets in his face. Heckler and Rivero begin to go at it, as Zippy recovers and retreats to the back.

We go backstage to Commissioner Octavian's office. He states that, in light of what just happened, the TV title match at Heatwave will now be a three way involving Heckler. He then moves on to his match with Mayhem. He says that it will be a fun encounter, and he is looking forward to it. There seems to be great mutual respect between the two.

We return from a commercial to head to ringside. Den McDaniel and Trash head to the ring for their match. Trash displays his newfound dark side with some brutal offense. He hits McDaniel with a powerslam and a guerilla press. McDaniel makes a brief comeback with an impressive flowing DDT and an elbow drop. But Trash comes back with a massive powerbomb. McDaniel is flattened. Trash lifts him up, and sets him on the top rope. He then drops him with his running neckbreaker, hitting the Trash Compactor for an impressive victory. Trash's dark side seems to be doing him some good. . . He destroyed McDaniel here tonight.

Luke Hanson and Dan Rivero head to the ring for their match. Hanson may be looking past Rivero to his number one contender's match on Thursday. Hanson locks up with Rivero, and takes control immediately. Hanson overpowers Rivero, and quickly lifts him into a guerilla press! But Rivero is too fresh, and he slides behind Hanson. Rivero takes Hanson down with a chop block, and begins stomping away. Hanson slowly gets to his feet, as Rivero sends him into the ropes. Hanson returns and gets a clothesline from Rivero. Rivero lifts Hanson up, and delivers a pump-handle slam for a two count! Hanson recovers, and Rivero bounces off the ropes. But Hanson meets him with a devastating boot to the face! Rivero goes down, and Hanson drops a leg. Rivero gets to his feet, and Hanson guerilla presses him again. This time he drops him across his shoulder, and brings him down into an incredible sidewalk slam. Hanson covers for a close two count! Hanson then heads to the top rope, and flies with an elbow drop! But Rivero slides out of the way! Rivero covers the fallen Fueler for a two count! Hanson gets back to his feet, and Rivero takes him down with a clothesline. Rivero then heads up top, and takes off with the Rivero Elbow! But Hanson also moves out of the way! Hanson lifts Rivero up, and drops him into a double-underhook powerbomb for the three count and the win.

After a commercial, we head to a promo for Heatwave. We see scenes from Annihilation, and the reformation of the CWU and the ACWF. We see last week's firing of Kurt Richards, and the beatings President Caldera has taken. Heatwave is in just six days on Pay-Per-View!!

Tristain Mayhem heads to the ring, followed by Octavian. This contest is very closely matched. It begins with Octavian powering Mayhem into the corner, and delivering a few quick knife-edge chops. Mayhem counters with a series of hot right hands. Mayhem sends Octavian into the ropes, and takes him down with a flying back elbow. Octavian rises and takes Mayhem down with a single leg takedown, and follows it up with a side leglock. Mayhem scrambles to the ropes, and gets there to break the hold. Octavian releases it, but drags Mayhem back to the middle of the ring. He snapmares Mayhem over, and slaps on a rear chinlock. Octavian seems to be using his experiance and strategy to beat the young Mayhem. Mayhem powers up, though, and shoves Octavian off into the ropes. Octavian returns, and Mayhem takes him down with a big powerslam! Mayhem earns a two count for this. Mayhem then brings Octavian up, only to drop him with a DDT for another two count. Mayhem then heads to the top rope! Octavian gets to his feet, and Mayhem takes off with a flying clothesline! He connects, and earns another two count. Mayhem takes to the skies again, and flies at Octavian with another clothesline! But Octavian has it scouted, and turns it into a powerslam from the top! Octavian then hooks the legs, and slaps on the Roman Rapper! Mayhem screams in pain, and reaches in vain for the ropes. Octavian has him in the center of the ring, and Mayhem looks like he's forced to tap out. But the youngster refuses to give it up. Octavian wrenches back with the hold, but Mayhem holds on. Suddenly, the Jhub appears from the crowd, and runs into the ring with a chair! The Jhub cracks Octavian in the back of the head with the chair, breaking the hold and causing a DQ. The Jhub then turns Octavian over, and slaps on the Sharpshooter! Octavian writhes in pain, but has nowhere to go. Then, without warning, Mayhem recovers and picks up the chair. He moves to the Jhub, and cracks the ACWF member over the head with the chair! The Jhub falls in pain, leaving Mayhem the only one standing. The show fades as the United States Champion stares at the fallen superstars. . .
